At Geospatial Data Services we have two dedicated “Pathfinder” vehicles that have been specifically designed to meet the requirements of our clients, while maintaining flexibility and diversity in their application.

The Pathfinder is ideally suited for working on paths, laneways, parks, gardens, car parks etc. It is the ultimate solution for condition rating of paths and for identifying other assets contained in and around pathways.

Available in a two or four camera set up, The Pathfinder allows great flexibility in application and collection of data. The distinctive front and rear camera set-up allows for exceptionally high levels of accuracy in the picking up of trips (misaligned pavement segments in paths)

Our four camera system allows greater scope to include assets other than footpaths, such as other street furniture, signs, traffic islands, kerb and channel and even street scape views for building and planning personnel.

A key feature of our services is that we have a unique ability to combine different technologies, methods and processes under one umbrella. This allows us to provide our clients with a flexible service to meet both their data capture needs and integration their in house systems for archival and analysis needs.  Data captured from our Pathfinder is delivered in a format that can be uploaded directly into your GISsystems, asset management system or pavement management system.

Our services with the pathfinder vehicles include but are not limited to

  • Identify fault in footpaths with an ability to locate the fault to a street address or GPS position.
  • Condition rating of path segments (compatible with pms software such as SMEC)
  • Verify the length and attributes of a path or laneway.
  • Identify and map new path assets.
